Applicants must be residents of Southern Arizona.

You are encouraged to seek additional funds (e.g.: your synagogue, the program provider, other communal organizations and institutions.) RootOne offers a $3000 voucher for many programs. Applicants that receive a scholarship will be expected to meet with the Weintraub Israel Center Director prior to the trip and after returning from Israel. STUDENTS: PLEASE SUBMIT A STATEMENT THAT TELLS WHY YOU WANT TO ATTEND THIS PROGRAM AND WHAT YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM THE EXPERIENCE (need not be more than two or three paragraphs.) Once a person has been offered a scholarship they must agree to the following
  1. Prior to the trip and upon returning from Israel, the recipient will meet with a representative of the Weintraub Israel Center.
  2. Upon returning from Israel, scholarship recipients will work with the Weintraub Israel Center representative to create a public opportunity for the recipient to share their experience in Israel with the local Jewish community.
  3. Scholarship recipients will be asked to share photos, videos and short updates on social media while they are in Israel.  If they are not able to share these on social media directly, we ask that they be sent to the Weintraub Israel Center representative who will work with the JPSA marketing department to share these items with our stakeholders in a meaningful way.
