At Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona (JPSA), we view Jewish life in its entirety, both as it exists today and as it must evolve for the future. Our work is guided by a comprehensive perspective: one that considers the immediate needs of our community alongside the long-term vision required to sustain and strengthen it for generations to come. We listen closely, collaborate widely, and support the full spectrum of Jewish communal life.
Through JPSA, every member of our community has the opportunity to help shape that future. Some contribute through philanthropy, others through leadership on committees and boards, and many through participation in programs and events. However individuals choose to engage, they do so as part of an enduring enterprise, one that has been stewarding and advancing Jewish life in Southern Arizona for more than eighty years.
We carry out this work through two complementary structures, each essential to our mission:
The Federation is how we invest in the present. Through the annual campaign, we allocate resources where they are most needed, supporting community security, partner agencies, core programs, and our connection to Israel. The impact reflected throughout our work is the result of the Federation's ability to respond in real time, ensuring that Jewish life remains vibrant, supported, and resilient today.
The Jewish Community Foundation is how we invest in the present and future. Through thoughtful, strategic philanthropy, including donor-advised funds, endowments, legacy gifts, and organizational funds, we build a permanent foundation for the community. These are not resources designed to be depleted; they are cultivated to grow, ensuring that the values and priorities of today continue to sustain Jewish life for generations to come.
While many organizations serve those who walk through their doors, JPSA holds a broader mandate. We consider the entirety of the community, the engaged and the unaffiliated, the needs of today and those that are still emerging.
That is the meaning of giving through JPSA: it is not only an act of support, but an investment in the enduring vitality and future of Jewish life in Southern Arizona.
